About
WORLD electronics became the Rado family business in 1986.
Joe Rado worked in the fields of education and insurance before purchasing WORLD electronics in 1986. After two years, he moved our facility from West Chester to Morgantown and, in 1999, he designed and opened our current facility in Reading, PA. He took a small company of 8 to a company of over 100 with two locations: Reading and Indiana, PA.
We do things other people don’t want to do.
Joe’s motto for success was, “We do things other people don’t want to do.” He figured out that WORLD could make any kind of electronic assembly and with his dedicated family of employees he grew WORLD electronics to be an international manufacturing facility. He loved to bring enjoyment into every endeavor and famously coined the phrase, “Have some fun today.” His inspiring and positive nature is still highly talked about among employees today.
Since 2018, the Rado tradition continues with the women of the family leading the way. As a WBENC business, WORLD is certified to be at least 51 percent owned, controlled, operated, and managed by a woman or women. Joe’s wife and family have taken care of WORLD and our employees honoring Joe with a workplace culture that supports and nurtures employees’ long-tenure and high workplace satisfaction. And, we always make sure to, “Have some fun,” each day.
